February 2013 Glossy Box

I received the February 2013 Glossy Box courtesy of Vervegirl & Glossybox CA. I have been subscribed to the service in the past, so it wasn’t difficult for me to accept the opportunity to share this box with my viewers and readers.

This month’s box was the Anniversary box, their 12th box to ship out in Canada. I missed the mail man on February 27th, therefore I picked it up on the 1st of March. That being said, this box ships out a bit later than other subscriptions.

February 2013 Glossy Box

Glossy Box has a monthly fee of $21, where members received 5 items per box that include a variety of brands. They include surprise or bonus samples (find them on facebook, twitter and youtube).

Elite Models intensity eye pencil

I received this water proof eye pencil in a Secret Grey 02, it’s a satin dark charcoal with silver sparkles and it applies very smoothly. – 1.1g/ $14.99

Essence eye shadow quad

This is the Essence quattro eye shadow quad in 02 chic-ify. This quad has a  peachy pink, charcoal grey, silver and a taupe brown. All of these colors are a satin finish. These colors work nicely together and the pink shade is an interesting twist to this neutral quad. Just a minor detail, these eye shadows have a slight scent. – 5g / $3.99

Bioré deep cleansing pore strips

In the past, I have received samples of these strips in other beauty boxes. I’ve even purchased it on my own, years ago. I’m not a fan of strips for ripping out black heads because I have heard that they can make your pores larger in the long run. However, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with using them once in a while to clear up your pores the night before an event. I recommend rubbing an ice cube or very cold water on your nose immediately after using one of these strips to close your pores. – 6 strips / $9.99

Macadamia Natural Oil healing oil treatment

I have raved about the Macadamia Natural Oil healing oil treatment before! So, it shouldn’t surprise you to hear that this was by far my favorite item in the February Glossy Box! I love the scent of this oil/hair serum and the way it leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable. (Previously blogged about here and video review here.) – 30 mL / $13.50

Anatomicals rose and jasmine body cleanser

I really like the scent of this Anatomicals rose and jasmine body cleanser, oddly enough, it is sold on ASOS. The dominant scent is definitely rose, I can hardly detect the jasmine. I have not used the product yet, but I’m curious to try it out. – 150 mL / $3.00

Eucerin hyal-urea anti-wrinkle day/night cream sachet duo

This duo day cream and eye cream are meant for dry and very dry skin. It claims to reduce to appearance of wrinkles and lines. I always love receiving sample moisturizers because they come in handy when I’m traveling. –  $18.50 for 50 mL for the full size product

Crabtree and Evelyn tarocco orange eucalyptus and sage

This Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream has tarocco Sicilian red orange, eucalyptus and sage meant to leave hands ultra moisturized and slightly scented. I’ve never tried any products from this brand before, I love hand creams so I’m looking forward to trying this out . – $8 for 25g for the full size

Glossy Box cupcake kit

Lastly, as a bonus item, we received glossy cupcake cups and picks.
