March 2013 SeasonsBox

This month is coming to an end quicker than we know it! Today, I’ll be un-boxing the March 2013 SeasonsBox. I’ve also featured the January and February boxes in the past.

UPDATE 2013/11/08: The company has since changed ownership twice, I do NOT recommend this service anymore as of now. See why here.

Seasonsbox is a subscription box service for eco-conscious seasonal lifestyle products (for the home, body, and spirit). For $34.90 a month, subscribers can expect 3-5 full size products. Every month’s box is completely different and each box is tailored to one season or holiday. The service is currently available to Canada and the US. If you are interested, you can check out the Seasonsbox website.

March 2013 SeasonsBox

As you may have guessed, this month’s box was St. Patrick’s day themed. Subscribers got to Spring into St. Patty’s with a box filed green and orange products (colors of the Irish flag).

Ecoverse Compact Umbrella from ShedRain

The first item in the box was this eco-conscious umbrella from ShedRain, crafted from recycled materials with a natural bamboo handle. It feels sturdy enough for a regular rainy day, it’s light and conveniently sized so that it can be tossed into your purse. The only vice with this umbrella is that I’m fairly sure it will not hold up very well in windy conditions, but that’s to be expected with most umbrellas unless you’re paying top dollar.

Organic Gourmet Tea from Octavia

Octavia’s teas are 100% natural and certified organic, made from real tealeaves that cleanse the body, lift the spirits, ease anxiety and restore overall health. I was pleasantly surprised to find this in the march box because I’ve been trying to cut back on coffee (which is my kryptonite) and opt for tea instead. The curators at SeasonsBox must have read my mind.

Natural Incense Cones from Vance Kitira

Vance Kitira products were previously featured in the January box. This time, I received natural and handcrafted peach cassis scented incense cones in bright orange. The set includes 15 incense cones, a ceramic burner, and each comes packaged in a lovely rosewood box. The scent is beautiful! I love the rosewood box as well, because that can be easily re-purposed.

Dublin Mint Irish Soap from All Things Herbal

Lastly, I received a Dublin mint scented soap, which captures the scent of spring in Ireland. According to the Seasonsbox website, All Things Herbal soaps are all natural, handcrafted soaps using the cold process method, which is most effective for producing highest quality soaps. The scent of this soap bar is an instant pick-me-up; it’s ingratiating and minty fresh! I can’t wait to take this into the shower, though I normally much prefer soap in liquid form.
