OPI San Francisco Collection Swatches Part 1

I was fortunate enough to receive half the OPI San Francisco Collection to swatch and review, after all. I did a preview post on these back in July. The collection includes other finishes, but this post will focus on three: creme, shimmer and duochrome. All the pictures have been taken with natural light and wearing two coats of each nail polish.

I decided to split the post in two since I like to keep my posts short and concise – I will link part two once it’s available.

More manicure posts – I rarely go bare nails and because of this, I have tried to make it a habit to take pictures to queue for Manicure Monday posts.

OPI San Francisco Collection Swatches Part 1

6 shades from the OPI San Francisco Collection from left to right:

  • A Piers To Be Tan – tan creme
  • Muir Muir On The Wall – plum shimmer | swatch
  • Lost On Lombard – red creme | swatch
  • Peace & Love & OPI – grey duochrome
  • Keeping Suzi at Bay – blue creme | swatch
  • I Knead Sour Dough – red shimmer

OPI A-Piers To Be Tan

I’m wearing two coats of A-Piers To Be Tan, which is a neutral brown. It reminds me of sweet beans often served at breakfast joints. You might not think a color like this would be flattering, but it’s actually a nice neutral. I can even see myself wearing this with a tan when summer is turning to fall.

OPI I Knead Sour-Dough

I Knead Sour-Dough straddles the line between red and brown, it depends on what lighting you look at it in. It is described as a toasty brown. In the bottle, it looks like a shade that you would find on clearance – you know, the odd color that didn’t sell well. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I applied it to my nails! It’s a very wearable red shimmer and it would be flattering on many skin tones. The formula is great, opaque enough to wear with one coat.

OPI Peace & Love & OPI

Peace & Love & OPI is a stunner; green and purple duochrome with a grey base. It is very opaque, contray to many other duochrome polishes, this only requires two coats. It has an oil spill quality to it, kind of like one of my all time favorites, OPI Have You Seen My Limo.
