Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette Overview

Oh gosh! This thing is so old, is it still ok for me to post this? Now that the hype has died down (just a little), I’ve finally managed to get my hands on this baby. I really shouldn’t have, but you know all about the internal struggles I’ve had concerning this palette. I feel like I’m talking about myself too much, moving onto Urban Decay Naked3!

I won’t be doing swatches because, well, this post is long enough and I will certainly feature this palette in future makeup tutorials. If you want swatches, I highly recommend checking out the swatch Bible, aka Temptalia’s post.

Please, comment down below if you have any combo requests. Let’s over saturate the internet with even more images of the Naked 3 palette, shall we?

Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette

The Naked palette series has become one of the best-selling palettes ever. Neutrals are wearable day and night; makeup sickos (like myself) can never get enough of neutral shadows.

Urban Decay launched Naked3 featuring 12 totoally new rose-hued neutrals. To be honest, they’ve played the same trick on us again. Naked was warm, Naked2 was cool, Naked Basics had matte shadows and now we’ve got rose toned shadows.Hey, if the cow still has milk – keep milking it!

Similar to Naked2, Naked3 comes in an art-school-inspired tin case. It’s a rose-gold color that hints at the shades inside. This palette is embossed on top with a big “Naked3” accompanied by a unique rippled texture, it reminds me of liquid rose-gold.

The Naked3 eyeshadow palette has different finishes: ultra-smooth mattes, gorgeous pearls and glimmering metallics. The colors go from the palest, shimmery pink to deep, and warm black.

Urban Decay claims that rosebased hues look great on every skin tone. I was actually worried that they would make me look tired, but we’ll just have to see in my upcoming tutorials.

This is the first time a Naked palette has NO repeat shades, i.e. no Half Baked! I’m sure we all have at least three of those in our collections by now. None of these shades are in the Naked Basics palette either, huzzah!
