Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polish Swatches

Behold, four more swatches of my current favourite drugstore nail polish, Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy! As mentioned in earlier posts, Revlon has really upped their nail polish game. With this formula, you need but 1-2 coats over bare nails nails along with their Diamond top coat to seal in the goodness.

My apologies for the inconsistency in lighting and length of my nails in these swatches. I took this pictures over a period of a few weeks.

I wore 410 Up The Ante on my vacation to Mexico late August and 120 Hot Hand when I got back. My nails literally peeled apart while I was away due to excessive beach bathing, which is a consequence I am willing to accept without complaints. Who doesn’t love to beach, right?

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy 210 Casino Lights

I wore Casino Lights in my GRWM Everyday Glam & Outfit of the Day, it’s truly a gorgeous shade of yellow that is attention grabbing without leaning toward neon. It’s very difficult to find a good yellow polish with decent opacity. I will admit that with lighter shades, even though you should not need a base coat with this, I like to use the Quo by Orly Ridgefiller. It leaves a milky color on the nails and fills in ridges, which helps you achieve perfect manicure.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy 220 In The Money

Think Shrek or green guava fruit; In The Money screams summer to me. I’m not over it yet, I’m still holding out for Indian Summer! Some greens can be unflattering, but this wears perfectly on my olive toned skin.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy 410 Up The Ante

Before heading to Mexico, I shortened my nails and applied a couple of coats of Up The Ante. This is the kind of purple you can wear all year round, really. I love the pinky-plum undertone of it. I’m willing to bet that this is flattering on all skin types.

Unfortunately, my manicure didn’t hold up for the entire vacation. I can usually wear the Revlon Gel Envy for 4-5 days with little to no wear, but that’s not the case when your nails are constantly soaked in salt water.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy 120 Hot Hand

Going totally off topic here, but did anyone else think of Darius – Hot Hands when they first saw the name of this nail polish?

My sad short nails! This was my post vacation manicure, can you tell how much I have tanned? Hot Hand looks lighter in other swatches I have seen online. I think my new skin shade throws off the lighting in this swatch, because it looks a bit more like a hot pink with yellow undertones here.

Anyway, I can’t praise the Revlon Gel Envy enough, I’m really enjoying all the shades, the finish and the wear of these polishes. Unless you are going to be rough on your nails while on vacation, I gather these will be a safe bet for you. I can wear a shade for a good 5 days before I get bored of the colour or chip a nail.

What do you think of the Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy? What shades have you tried?
