A festive matte glitter manicure

Christmas is right around the corner and I decided to switch up my manicure with this Rainbow Connection nail polish from OPI’s 2011 Muppets Collection Nail Lacquer. This glitter nail polish is literally one of the most epic glitter polishes in my stash. Here’s what I used to get this festive matte glitter manicure.

A festive matte glitter manicure

OPI A Piers To Be Tan is tan creme with an opaque finish. The formula is easy to work with and dries smoothly. I featured it in a previous post about the OPI San Franciso Collection last year.

OPI Rainbow Connection is a stunning multi-coloured glitter in different sizes which only requires one coat to achieve a very noticeable effect. The only issue with this polish is that the lacquer dries out quickly in the bottle. I have had it for a couple of years and the formula’s texture has become drier and a little tricky to get on smoothly.

Revlon Matte Pearl Glaze is one of the new Transforming Effects Toppers nail polishes (previous mentioned here). This mattified my manicure as well as adding a pinked blue tint to the nails. I think a regular matte coat would have suited this manicure better. The Matte Pearl Glaze looks a lot more impressive over dark nail lacquers because it changes the overall effect, colour and finish of the nails.
