Rimmel Lipstick Swatches and Makeup Declutter

I have been swatching lipsticks on my blog for a while, but for the New Year my resolution is to clear out my collection of discontinued and aged products. I figured I would start out by sharing Rimmel lipstick swatches.

In today’s post, I’m sharing swatches of the Rimmel Lasting Finish and Moisture Renew lipsticks. From what I have seen at the drugstore, both of these lines have been reformulated and re-packaged. Rimmel decided to keep some of the shades, but for the most part, the lines have been re-vamped with new shades even though the name of the both ranges remain the same.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick True Vintage

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick Bordeaux

Airy Fairy is the only shade that I have in the range that has not been discontinued. Rimmel changed the packaging my adding a silver ring around the tube’s opening, other than that, the packaging is pretty similar to what it was before.

I will be letting go of True Vintage and Bordeaux because they have a slightly different scent. Furthermore, Bordeaux isn’t as pigmented as other burgundy lipsticks in my collection.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick Notting Hill Nude

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick Nude Delight

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick Vintage Pink

Notting Hill Nude is the newest in my collection and it is from the new Moisture Renew Line. Nude Delight has been repackaged and reformulate. The rest of the shades mentioned above have been discontinued and switched out for newer shades.

I’m debating on whether to keep Coral Chic and Vintage Pink because they are nice shades and still perform well. However, Electric Plum and Burgundy Lustre have poor coverage on my lips. It seems those two are better for someone with more pigmented lips and a darker complexion than mine.

What do you think of Rimmel lipsticks and the new formulations?

All the products mentioned were purchased by me.
