I was kindly sent three nail polishes and one top coat by Misslyn for reviewing purposes. The brand is newly available in Shoppers Drugmart in Canada. Misslyn is well known in Europe and it was about time that they made their debut across seas.
So far, I’m really impressed with the formula and it is definitely on par with OPI and Essie. Misslyn nail polish have a great brush for even application and most of the polishes I received look great with two coats. However, the It-Girl top coat only required one and the Spiced Wine took three coats for full opacity.
Misslyn Nail Polish Swatches
766 It-Girl is a gorgeous top coat with small holographic glitters and large circle metallic pink particles. It only takes one generous coat for the coverage photographed above. I was surprised at how nicely dispersed the glitters applied.
597 Fata Morgana is a satin cobalt blue, which applies evenly with two coats. The colour is truly eye catching.
214 Spice Wine applied evenly with three coats, it’s a beautiful “OPI Lincoln Park After Dark” type of colour. I’m a sucker for these because they work all year round and look great on fingers and toes.
Lastly, 129 Mambo is a stunning shade for summer. It’s a peachy coral orange that will uplift your mood, especial with a tan. I’m wearing two coats in the photo above.
I have my eye on Misslyn lemon green 557. I can’t wait to try more of their nail polishes.
