SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Review

The SkinCeuticals brand philosophy is all about prevention, protection and correction of the skin for graceful ageing. I learned about the brand at Etiket, a Montreal luxury boutique which also boasts an amazing array of fragrances that you must check out (if you are into that kind of thing).

At the gathering, I had the opportunity to be accessed based on my skin type and the amount of sun damage it has had. I have referred to Phloretin CF which was created to shield the skin from free radicals and even out the complexion.

SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF

Phloretin CF is a daytime antioxidant serum delivers advanced environmental protection, while diminishing the appearance of discolouration. As a preventative step in skincare, it works on normal, oily and combination skin; specifically for anyone with hyper pigmentation, acne or ageing skin.

This antioxidant treatment combines a patent combination of 2% phloretin, 10% pure vitamin C, and 0.5% ferulic acid. With these ingredients, the serum helps even out and brighten the skin tone and reduces dullness. Once the serum in absorbed into the skin, it cannot be rubbed off and remains effective for a minimum of 72 hours.

My Thoughts on the SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF

I have been using the Phloretin CF serum for a month without knowing the actual cost (lack of research on my part). At first glance, the price tag is a bit staggering – but given the time frame that the product is effective for, how little you need per application (3-5 drops) and the size of the bottle (30 mL) – the price really isn’t so bad. I would look at it as a skin investment.

I have acne prone skin and I struggle to attain a more even complexion due to marks from receding breakouts and just the overall texture of my skin. I have definitely noticed an improvement since adopting the serum into my everyday routine; my complexion is refreshed and the texture of my skin is smoother.

What are your favourite skin serums for your skin type?
