CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal

Last month, I was introduced to the new CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection. It boasts 60s and 70s vibe like the Ralph Bakshi’s mind-blowing animation in his landmark animated feature, “Heavy Traffic.” The spring nail is anything but precious. Don’t be afraid to get off the grid and leave your mark with a slightly squared, active length and scribbly graffiti graphics.

Spring 2016 by channeling hard, hot gorgeous of parking-lot florals with shockwaves of brilliant mauve, fuchsia and magenta tones making a concrete style statement. Synthetic greens the color of Benjamins square off with the scorch of shocking pinks. Awesomely aquatic turquoise teal infused with silver glitters, pink shimmers, white polka-dots, or dusting of blue and violet glaze to blaze radioactive smog over the metro skyline.

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Irreverent Rose

In two coats, this warm rose nail polish applies like a dream! It’s not very unique, but it feels like a nice shake up from a typical pink.

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Untitled Bronze

Untitled Bronze has a micro silver shimmers and larger red sparkles packed into what feels like a mix between rose gold and copper. The formulation is a bit tricky, but worth the effort.

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Art Basil

Art Basil is a teal green with flecks and soft gold. The formulation applies well, but it requires about 3 thin coats.

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Magenta Mischief

A pretty magenta filled with a violet sheen with a pigmented formulation.I really loved this one because it pops against my skin!

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Sienna Scribble

As the name suggests, this is a sienna hue with a frosty shimmer. I didn’t think it would work with my skin tone but it pairs especially well with glitter top coats.

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Digi-Teal

A beautiful and bright sky blue, however it has shimmers which are nearly impossible to spot.

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Mauve Maverick

A thick soft lavender pink cream nail polish with opaque coverage and not too difficult to work with, either.

CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection Vinylux Tutti Frutti

Tutti Frutti has a pretty lavender shine and it reminds me a lot of a nail polish from Revlon.

A couple of these go on matte initially, but with they all have a glossy finish with the Vinylux Weekly Top Coat. Untitled bronze was textured and had the most inconsistent formulation out of the rest in this collection. Overall, and per usual, I had little to no difficulty getting full opaque coverage with 2-3 coats of all these nail polishes. Magenta Mischief was a stands out for me.

What do you think of the CND Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection?
