In today’s post, I’m going to show you a pick-me-up for dull winter skin. Here’s how to look sunkissed with bronzer.
Winter is finally coming to a close, however, that drab skin isn’t going anywhere until the sun gets strong enough. Even then, we must be wary of the sun’s rays as they cause skin damage. It’s a little too early for fake-tan, but I’m ready to at least have a slightly more sun-kissed complexion.
I have been fortunate enough to join the #loveisontourage with Revlon, along with two other Youtubers. We attended an event in New York to celebrate new product launches and Gwen Stefani becoming the new brand ambassador. Part of the trip included a presentation of all the upcoming Spring/Summer makeup trends by Dustin Lujan at the Revlon headquaters.
TLDR; one of the biggest runway trends this Spring is natural looking sunkissed skin, go figure. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to get the sun kissed look.
How to get Sun Kissed Skin with Bronzer
Product used to achieve the sun kissed look:
- Revlon Bronzer, Bronzilla
- Revlon Highlighting Palette, Bronze Glow
- MAC Cream Colour Base, Shell
- Lancome Le Lipstique Sheer, Natural Sheer
- CoverGirl Katy Kat Matte, Shynx Sphinx
What’s not shown in this video are the foundation, concealer, mascara and eyebrow steps.
What is important here is the combination of products and application technique used to create this look. Do not apply your bronzer as you would a contour. Think of where the sun naturally hits the face (have you ever had a sun burn?), that’s where you want to apply your bronzer.
Pick a blush suits a tan. I would choose a peach or coral shade over a red or cool toned pink for this look.
Highlight the high points of your cheeks, your brow bone, cupid’s bow, nose and chin – this step is optional. Although, I rarely step out of the house without something on the high points of my cheeks. It’s ultra flaterring when the light hits the face.
As for lips and eyes, get experimental or go au-naturale.
What do you think of getting sun kissed skin with bronzer? Do you like the trend?
