MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Stick Foundation Review

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Stick Foundation is popular for giving you flawless camera ready skin. Hm… I don’t know about you, but I either love or hate stick foundation!

In this review and attached video, you will see how this foundation wears on oily acne prone skin, how it looks in flash photo and natural light along with its performance with and without primer.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Stick Foundation Y335

MUFE foundation stick boasts all the benefits of the award-winning Ultra HD Liquid Foundation. This has a medium-to-full-coverage foundation which gives a natural, satin finish. It is currently available in 20 shades.

The Ultra HD Stick Foundation is best suited for normal to dry skin types, but also wears well on combination oily skin as you will see further down!

For the purpose of this wear test and review, I primed one side of my face with Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer and finished off the application with a bit of MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder.

I recommend using a setting powder if you have oily skin because this formulation is better suited to normal-dry skin types!

In addition to the foundation, I used the L’Oréal Infallible More Than Concealer in 327 Cashmere which I compared with the CoverGirl version you can check out here.

I have the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Stick Foundation in Y335 — a discontinued shade. The foundation range got slashed in half years back and that is a shame! I suspected the most compatible shade to what I’m reviewing today would be Y325 Flesh.

Is the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Foundation worth it?

Stick foundations can be a blessing or a curse. Fortunately, this one is a miracle. I prefer it, hands-down, over the reformulated Ultra HD liquid formulation.

This foundation is easy to blend and offers up full coverage that doesn’t look or feel jarring. However, the most impressive bit is its performance in longtime wear. For my oily skin folks out there, don’t not fret, this continues to look fabulous even after blotting.

The image above was taken after 8.5 hours of application. If you have seen my other wear test posts, I bet you would agree its one of the best! I’m speechless.

Have you tried the Make Up For Ever stick foundation? If so, what is your shade and skin type – how did it fare on you!?
