Oh, boy! The Vichy Teint Ideal line seems to be discontinued. If you are a blogger like myself or someone who peruses discontinued makeup online – you may still find this review helpful.
This post and video review will be a foundation wear test on oily acne prone skin, how it looks in flash photo and natural light along with its performance with and without primer.
Vichy Teint Ideal Fluid in 25 Sand
I reached out to Vichy and they confirmed this is in fact discontinued. Their whole makeup section online is cleared. The Vichy Flexilift Fond De Teint might still be on sale and may be comparable.
Formulated for normal to combination skin, ultra-liquid water-based foundation, with luminous texture and satin-finish veil. There were only 5 shades available.
Vichy Teint Ideal Fluid has Vitamin E , Vitamin C, Mineral pigments for natural coverage, Liquid Light Technology for healthy glow, Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water for stronger, healthier-looking skin.
For the purpose of this wear test and review, I primed one side of my face with Gosh Primer Plus Skin Perfector and finished off the application with a bit of MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder.
In addition to the foundation, I used the L’Oréal Infallible More Than Concealer in 327 Cashmere which I compared with the CoverGirl version you can check out here.
Was the Vichy Teint Ideal Fluid worth it?
As luck would have it, some of the products I enjoy the most tend to get discontinued. This was an underhyped foundation which looked fantastic on the skin.
At the same time, I wouldn’t cry if you missed out on this fluid foundation. The colors were so limited and non-inclusive that most people would not have found a shade match in this range.
At the end of the day, before blotting, I definitely looked dewy but texture wise, I did not feel heavy oil built up.
Have you tried any Vichy foundations? If so, what is your shade and skin type – how did it fare on you!?
