About
Who Am I? (And Why I Stopped Emotional Shopping)
Hi, I’m Alexa. And if you think you have a lot of stuff, let me tell you: I was a full-time beauty influencer circa 2014-2017. I had the overflowing drawers, the constant PR mailings, the sponsored posts, and the compulsive shopping on top of it all. I was drowning in product and chasing an impossible deadline to review everything.
The result? Guilt, money wasted, chronic overwhelm, and the deeply uncomfortable realization of how unsustainable the whole thing was.
If you’ve felt that same panic and decision fatigue from owning too much, welcome. You are finally in the right place.
My Mission: Help You Buy Less Than You “Think” is Necessary
I pivoted Alexa Likes to be my document and your guide for a more intentional life. I’m taking the power back from the emotional spending and handing the control back to you. We focus on low-buy living, and I’ll be honest: I treat my makeup collection like a toxic ex: constantly telling myself I’m over it, but secretly holding onto a few key pieces.
This platform is for anyone ready to ditch the clutter and adopt a mindset shift based on restraint and strategy.
- Low-Buy Beauty & Makeup: We focus on using what we already own. Expect collection panning, practical routines, and reviews that confirm products are rarely scarce; it’s the illusion of urgency that marketing relies on.
- Curated Living: If organizing is a personality trait, I officially have multiple personalities. But the goal here is radical simplicity: decluttering clothes, organizing your space, and managing your attention so your energy goes to what matters.
- The Power Shift: By owning less, the items you do possess gain more value and impact. By applying restraint, you become immune to the emotional tactics of scarcity.
The Unexpected Payoff
When I started this reset, I just wanted to be debt free and save money. The huge surprise? Having less makes you feel more put together, more in control, and frankly, like you can automate your life. My time is freed up from domb-scroll-schopping and my stress has plummeted. Despite the occasional pang of craving, I now rarely need anything urgently, because I’m finally using what I have.
So, welcome! Let’s get smart about what we own. Your clutter-free, guilt-free life starts here.
